El abismo entre las tres mujeres parece insalvable y poco a poco vemos como se creó el abismo y si hay salvación para la relación entre ellas. El amor también tiene mucha importancia, como en todos los libros de Jojo. La búsqueda del amor, las malas decisiones, las desilusiones... I'm happy when two of my favorite characters from the novel that I'm reading will end up with each other and they will soon be engaged and get married but what happens after that? But then marriage isn't always full of roses and soft whispers of love or some royalty kind of fairy tale we often dream. Marriage has its own dark side, too, and I'm not sure if I'm prepared to embrace it just yet.

Sheltering Rain is deeply moving and yet unnervingly depressing. It makes me feel depressed anyway even if it's not depressing. I love Jojo Moyes but this is not one of her best. Let me clarify things first, I didn't love the book as much as I'd loved her other novels, though I had a great time reading it and to say that I cried when the story ended is overrated. But somewhere deep in my heart I couldn't deny the fact that I feel sad, a trifle breathless with it all when the last sentence had been delivered. Sheltering Rain is the debut novel of Jojo Moyes. I wasn’t that surprised when I noticed that the Jojo mojo had already been there all along. This author comforts me as reader. I feel cocooned whenever I read one of her books. Does it make any sense when you feel that the book is giving you a virtual hug? It's like comfort food for the mind. Be it predictable and ordinary sometimes, that doesn’t diminish the capable and touching storytelling. The characters are extremely realistic as if it’s mandatory to feel some sort of affinity to some of them with all their shortcomings and internal struggles.Sheltering Rain“. Conoci a JoJo Moyes por el excelente libro " Me before You" el cual me llego a lo mas profundo del corazon con su historia. Cada cierto tiempo busco mas de sus libros, en esta ocasion fue el club de lectura el cual me puso nuevamente en el camino de su escritura. Pienso que JoJo Moyes, debe tomar un descanso y posiblemente cambiar la tematica de sus libros, al menos ya a mi me cansan un poco. Este libro nos lleva a la vida de tres mujeres Jo, Kate y Sabine que son abuela, madre e hija respectivamente, nos cuenta sus malentendidos, su falta de comunicacion y tal vez la falta de ponerse en el zapato de la otra. Nos muestra que no importa la edad a veces no maduramos y no enfrentamos el daño que le hacemos a la persona mas cercana por no saber comunicarnos, es mas no por enfrentarnos para hablar.También podría referirse a uno u otro detalle que me dejó algo incómoda, pero así estaría siendo demasiado injusta con una obra y una autora que me dio lo que buscaba, una lectura tranquila y rápida, con casi todo bien masticado.
